Do You Know This Cat?
Internationally-known cat Betsy is looking for her owner. Betsy was living rough on the streets of Richmond, London England when the kind lady who had been feeding her brought her into Kitten to Cat Veterinary Clinic.Betsy had been microchipped, however the information was outdated and the original owners had apparently moved. All efforts to find them, including newspaper articles, a YouTube video, and a Cat of the Month spread by United Cats have thus far not been successful. With over 2,400 "friends" and admirers from as far away as Chile, South Africa and Honduras, Betsy could be the most popular cat on the Internet, however, if her owners had kept their microchip details up to date she would probably be at home today.
Betsy has been living at Kitten to Cat in comparative royalty, loved and pampered by Zeta Fresca, veterinarian and owner of the clinic, and her staff. What Betsy really wants though is her real home, if not with her original owners, then with a loving adopted mum.
If anyone has any information about Betsy they should write to helpbetsy@kittentocat.com.

She’s very pretty!
I sent this link to a friend in London – incredibly long shot of course, but you never know.
Betsy is beautiful. I know someone in UK…will send link, maybe she can send link to others.
What a cute & beautiful kitty. I hope she finds her owner or another one.
What a sad reminder to make sure our contact info with the microchip registries is current. If I lived in the UK I think I’d take her home. She just broke my heart.
I agree with Pat. A great (but sad) reminder about keeping information updated. Hope she finds her original mum or a fabulous new and loving mum.
“This is what could happen.”

I have deleted the copyrighted material you posted from a news story for two reasons.
The appropriate method for publicizing news stories is a one-line quote and a link to the actual story. Any other method is considered a copyright violation.
In any case, derailing a blog post by posting unrelated comments is not appropriate. If you’d like to email me the link to the story, I’ll consider giving it its own blog entry.
PLEASE, everyone keep your comments on-topic. Betsy, the cat in question deserves full attention here, and it is distracting to other visitors to see these off-topic comments.
Just a quick update on Betsy, she is doing well and basking in all the attention. We had two calls today from people wanting to adopt her and at least a few people every day ask to see her (which we allow provided it doesn’t stress her our). Unfortunately we have no new leads on her whereabouts but thanks so much Franny and everyone who has sent in well wishes. We’ll keep you posted.
Thanks so much for the update, Simon. I’ll be watching your web site for additional news about Betsy. She is a lovely old girl, and will make a wonderful “forever cat” for the right person.
