Grace, the fourth and last Cat Picture of the Week for February, 2012, was rescued as a kitten, and is now three years old.

Grace loves to accompany Nancy out to her garden, and because her ears tend to sunburn in the summer, Nancy puts sunblock on them, and Grace doesn't mind at all. Nancy may not know that white cats are susceptible to squamous cell carcinoma on both their ear tips and nose leather, so the sunblock would be good on her nose too. Nancy rescued Grace from her yard when she was only four to six weeks old, and was so dirty at first she thought the kitten was gray. Because there were already three cats in the home, Nancy eventually took Grace to an "adoption day" event at a local store, then went shopping. She thought about Grace the whole time and could hardly wait to bring her back home and make her a family member. Grace is now three years old and Nancy thinks she is a really special cat. I suspect the feeling is mutual.
