Guide Review - Pet Care in the New Century, by Amy D. Shojai

Amy Shojai is a masterful researcher, and she translates the results of her findings into easily-digestible material that keeps the reader turning pages. Part 1 provides background on advances in veterinary medicine, including specialties; a thoughtful discussion on the ethics of medical treatment, including some true "modern miracles" stories; and a chapter on molecular medicine.

Part 2 is a comprehensive alphabetical reference for specific health and behavior problems. Part 3 consists of several appendixes, including a glossary, listing of U.S. Veterinary Schools, and Health and Research Associations.

Amy Shojai has a knack for making resource material good reading, and I'd recommend this book to anyone starting a pets resource library.
