Big Red

My cat's name is Big Red. I know, obvious. I had gotten to the point of so many cats these kittens just got obvious names. Red, Gray, and Goldie. These are 'outside' cats but I had everyone 'fixed' so there would be no more.

But another litter snuck in on me before I got them to the vet. Those were all adopted out but one. Red got to be the largest one, I guess because he's male. And where the long hair came from we don't know. The rest are shorthaired. But he is a loving cat that loves to sleep on my bed with me. The inside cats tolerate him.

Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. Big Red's photo was submitted for - and also will appear in the December Red Cats Gallery. Big Red is a handsome, obviously well-cared for cat and was a good choice for a December Cat of the Week.

You may send your own photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat within those parameters.

Remember that not only the quality of the picture, but the care you take in describing your cat may make the difference in its being chosen as Cat of the Week!
