Patches is our part Manx, tortoiseshell kitten with lots of personality. We adopted her in late July 2005 from a no-kill animal shelter. They had rescued her from a regular shelter when she was a day away from being euthanized. She is a real go-go kitty and her favorite game is playing fetch with a small ball which she carries around in her mouth when she's not chasing it.

Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. (I do not accept photos submitted specifically for "Cat Picture of the Week.") Patches's picture was submitted for the Tortoiseshell Gallery, and Patches' stunning color and wonderful story made it a natural for Cat Picture of the Week this month

You may send your own photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat within those parameters.
