All my cats have used the Litter Maid as soon as it was set up. They like to watch the shifter bar when it is moving (when it is working). None of my cats have shown any fear of it.
My Review
This is an ideal product WHEN IT WORKS. I have a large cat population and have had at least 6 different models of Litter Maid automatic cat boxes. It scoops solid waste well, however, the wet litter can get stuck on the bottom of the tray and turn into concrete. I had a problem with the price of the 'disposible' waste containers until I found a product in Cat Fancy magazine that uses grocery store plastic bags in the containers to help in the reusing of the containers. My main problem with Litter Maid is they do not last. None of the 6 Litter Maids have lasted over a year; the motor driving the scooping bar fails, the cord pulling the bar breaks, the off-on switch does not work. I had recommended this brand to a friend and they had the same results. It's a good idea, however there are better out there.
