How I Came About to Adopt This Cat
We lived on a cul-de-sac. Someone dumped off Archie's mom and his siblings early one morning in the street. Mom ran and hid, and the siblings probably followed her. Archie cried for an hour (which is what woke me up). My husband and I couldn't find him and left for work. Once home in the afternoon we heard Archie crying again and found him hiding behind the trashcans. He looked like someone had plugged him in a light socket, covered in fleas and very hungry! We just couldn't turn him loose! Our three dogs acclimated to this bundle of love and he has been with us ever since.
Why I Think my Cat Deserves This Title
Not only did he warm our hearts on arrival, but turned my husband (dog person) into a cat person. My husband had a very gruff exterior for many years. Once Archie was in our family, the two of them spent countless hours after work, watching tv together, napping together on the weekends. Archie would hear my husband come home and rush to greet him.
To have an animal that small, change a person to that extent is amazing! I loved my husband before, but now he is the most wonderful person on earth. What a great friend and soulmate I have, and all because this little bundle came into our lives.
Advice
- Just open your heart and let the love flow from each other. Kitties are so open to loving others, and they give so much love in return.
