Cat's Name, Gender, & Age:
Oliver, male, neutered, 2 yrs old
Best Characteristics of the Polydactyl Cat
Oliver is a beautifully coloured cat....he is a very dark caramel and light orange striped tabby with caramel coloured eyes. He has 5 toes on each of his front paws and his dew claws are on his back paws which I think makes him special!
Most Challenging Characteristics of the Polydact
Oliver has what almost seems to be 2 paws on each front leg...one with 3 toes and one with 2 toes. In between these 2 "paws" is a nail, way down between. It's really hard to clip
When, Where and How I Got My Polydactyl Cat
Oliver showed up at my back door where I feed a lot of abandoned cats but he was only about 3 months old. He was so small and defenseless that I scooped him right up and the rest is history. PS: Two other neighbours and I get all the abandoned cats spayed/neutered and then get them adopted.
I'd Describe My Cat As…
The only problem that Oliver has with his feet are the claws way down between the 2 "paws". He has a lovely personality and really no different than any other cat except that he looks like he'd be a great goal tender in a game of soccer!
Advice
- No different than any other cat I have.
